Bethany Network newsletter, July 2018
In June, we celebrated our annual Speech Day/Reunion Day which was enjoyed by all who attended. We also hosted our inaugural Grandparents' Day where we invited over 100 sets of grandparents for a special chapel service and lunch.
We are really grateful to former pupil, Graham Wild, who sent a variety of photos that show Bethany School back in the 1950s - read more on page 5.
We have more trips down memory lane planned with some exciting events: our 1990s reunion has been confirmed for Saturday 22nd September, our annual Careers Fair takes place on Friday 5th October and we are all looking forward to the President's Dinner at The Gherkin on Saturday 3rd November. Find out more on page 4. As always, you can register or log in to the Bethany Network website and update your details online.
On Saturday 23rd June, Bethany School hosted our annual Speech Day/Reunion Day to celebrate our Leavers moving on to pastures new and our wonderful alumni community coming together to reminisce with old friends.
Our Archivist, Maggy Fillery, organised a fantastic WWII experience and Ken Tappenden MBE was this year's guest speaker.
Maggy produced a report detailing the work that has taken place in the Archives this year.
The Bethanians Society also welcomed a new President Paul Grist as former President Nick Randell passed the baton.
