Bethany School celebrates the Virtue of Learning
Bethany School prides itself on providing excellent preparation for GCSE examinations and for subsequent life in its successful Sixth Form. At Bethany School, we put the child at the heart of every decision; this personalised and individual approach has again been rewarded with pupils achieving GCSE grades exceeding predictions.
The support and guidance given to each pupil has ensured that everyone has achieved to the best of their ability by being nurtured, encouraged and challenged.
Their GCSEs complete, the vast majority of pupils now proceed into the Bethany Sixth Form, where they will be joined by a number of pupils transferring into the School for A level study. They will experience the exciting pre-university atmosphere of our purpose-built Sixth Form Centre and will engage in their choice of 26 different A level courses plus a wide range of opportunities in our inspiring co-curricular programme. Beyond the classroom, Bethany School pupils of all ages have had considerable success in external academic competitions this year, including the BP Ultimate STEM Challenge at the Science Museum in London, the National Physics Olympiad and Regional Young Enterprise Competitions.
Headmaster, Francie Healy, said: “This is an exceptional set of results given the continually changing educational landscape. They demonstrate that at Bethany School, placing the focus on pupil wellbeing – combined with academic challenge and ambition – provides the best possible preparation for examination success. I offer my warmest congratulations to our successful Year 11 pupils and our most supportive parents. I am very grateful to our dedicated and expert teaching staff, who get to know each pupil incredibly well, ensuring that we inspire individual excellence in every child and allow their talents to flourish.”
